Project Info
Located at Middleton Hall, Carmarthenshire, the National Botanic Garden of Wales is set in parkland created by William Paxton in the late 18th century. Focal points include the magnificent glasshouse designed by Sir Norman Foster, as well as the unique double walled garden.
Our masterplan for the gardens included the restoration of a series of silted up lakes, as well as the walled garden. Other features included the creation of the Great Herbaceous Border, flanked by the Broad Walk, with its award winning rill and fountains. Horticulture is justifiably at the centre of these gardens and the extensive plantings include flower rich meadows, parkland tree planting, as well as the more formal beds and borders.
